Brick and Mortar States

Brick and Mortar States

The following States are the last remaining states that require a Mortgage Broker and/or Lender to maintain a Physical Office (Branch) located in the subject state in which the broker or lender intends to obtain a mortgage license in. The office must also be open to the public during regular business hours.

The second requirement is that the mortgage company must have a licensed loan originator designated as the Branch Manager at the office location. The loan originator must be registered with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS).
